Sam earned her B.A. in English with a minor in philosophy from Immaculata University in 2013 and her M.A. in English from Villanova University in 2016. Broadly, her scholarly interests include contemporary U.S. literature and pedagogy. Her research currently focuses on predominantly white institutions, epistemic justice, and pedagogy in literature and first-year writing classrooms. Outside of academia, she loves finding a good coffee, spending time with family and friends, and being outdoors.
