Charles French earned his Ph.D. in English from Lehigh University in 2014 and is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor with the English Department.

His academic research focus is on Irish Drama, Shakespeare, and the Gothic. He is currently working on a book on the Irish playwright Seamus Byrne, tentatively titled Seamus Byrne: Ireland’s Forgotten Playwright.  

He has extensive experience teaching as an adjunct for many years in the Lehigh Valley, PA. He has taught a wide range of courses from First Year Writing to Irish Literature and Shakespeare.

He has two novels: Maledicus: The Investigative Paranormal Society, Book 1 and Gallows Hill: The Investigative Paranormal Society, Book 2, and a book based on the menus of the characters in that series called The Investigative Paranormal Society Cookbook.  He also has one book published on writing: French On English: A Guide To Writing Better Essays and one soon to be released: Get The Draft Done

He lives in Northampton, PA with his wife, Liz, and he is the proud grandfather of his beloved granddaughter, Maddison.
